Ah Maftuchan is the Executive Director of the Perkumpulan PRAKARSA for the 2015-2020 period. Maftuchan completed the law politics degree program at Sunan Kalijaga UIN Yogyakarta and the master of Social Development and Regional Autonomy at the University of Indonesia (UI) FISIP Social Welfare Department.

Prior to joining Perkumpulan Prakarsa (February 2009), Maftuchan worked as a consultant to Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on good governance programs in population administration of development in Aceh (2007-2008).

Maftuchan, who received the 2017 & 2018 IMF-sponsored Civil Society Fellowship Program, has dozens of years of experience working on development issues and public policy advocacy. Maftuch has been a member of the Working Group (Working Group) of SDGs at the Presidential Staff Office (2016). Speaker of the Public Consultation Forum for the Development Planning Consultation of the Ministry of PPN / Bappenas (2013-2015). He also worked as an advisor and Delegation to the Republic of Indonesia for the High Level Political Forum / HLPF United Nations at the Sustainable Development Goals, July 2017.

Maftuchan is the co-founder and coordinator of the Indonesia Tax Justice Forum and co-founder of the Indonesia Responsible Bank Coalition and commissioner of the Independent Commission of State Budget.

Maftuchan is also the co-chair of the Tax and Fiscal Justice Alliance (TAFJA) of the Southeast Asia Region. The main issues involved include: poverty, inequality, welfare, employment, health insurance, social security, fiscal policy, good governance and international development cooperation.
