Ari Wibowo is a researcher at PRAKARSA. Her main role is to manage the research cycle as a whole, from planning, implementation, to reporting. Her responsibilities include maintaining the quality of research substance, helping to manage knowledge and information (knowledge management), and helping to conduct Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL). She completed her undergraduate studies at the Department of Communication Science and Community Development, Faculty of Human Ecology - IPB University and her Masters in Master of Leadership and Policy Innovation (Master of Policy Studies), Graduate School - Universitas Gadjah Mada.
Before joining PRAKARSA, Ari serves as a Program Officer for Human Rights-Democracy and Inequality at INFID. Currently, he is also actively contributing to the development of knowledge at IPB University as the Head of the Knowledge Management Information System Unit at the Center for Agrarian Studies, as well as the Assistant Division of Population, Agrarian Studies, and Political Ecology (KAREP) at the Department of Communication Science and Community Development - Faculty of Human Ecology. Ari has expertise in business and human rights issues, democracy, coastal and small island agrarian, natural resource political ecology, policy innovation and governance, and indigenous peoples and rural communities.
Ari is experienced in research-based policy advocacy. He has collaborated both as an Expert and Research Consultant with various Ministries/Government Institutions and civil society organizations, such as INFID, Transformasi untuk Keadilan (TuK) Indonesia, Sajogyo Institute, Transparency International Indonesia, Greenpeace Indonesia, IRE Yogyakarta, Rimbawan Muda Indonesia, the National Committee for Family Farming (KNPK) Indonesia, and the Agrarian Reform Consortium (KPA).
