Multidimensional Poverty Profile of Bangka Belitung Province
In general, multidimensional poverty in Bangka Belitung Province has shown a significant decline in 2012-2022. The multidimensional poverty rate fell from 47,80% in 2012 to 8,35% in 2021. A significant decrease occurred in rural areas between 2012 and 2021.
For a decade, the multidimensional poverty rate has decreased the most in 2014 by 36,76% to 27,87%. This significant decrease occurred at the village level. Meanwhile, the smallest decrease in the number of poor people occurred in 2018 by 17,78% to 16,95% in 2019 with a decrease of 0,83 points.
In addition to the decreasing number of multidimensional poverty, there was also a decrease in the intensity of multidimensional poverty from 48,91% in 2012 to 41,32% in 2021. The biggest decrease occurred in villages which experienced a decrease from 50,29% to 41,02%. From the IKM side, Bangka Belitung has decreased from 0,23 in 2012 to 0,03 in 2021 or decreased by 0,20 points. The biggest decline occurred in 2014 to 2015, namely a decrease of 0,05 points.
