Multidimensional Poverty Profile of Bengkulu Province

In general, multidimensional poverty in Bengkulu Province has shown a significant decline in 2012-2021. The multidimensional poverty rate has fallen from 60,16% in 2012 to 16,15% in 2021. A significant decrease has occurred in rural areas from 73,92% in 2012 to 21,10% in 2021.

For a decade, the multidimensional poverty rate has decreased significantly from 2014 to 2015 from 52,49% to 42,37%. A sizeable decrease also occurred in rural areas in the same year period, namely 65,00% to 54,08%. The lowest decrease in the multidimensional poverty rate occurred in 2018 to 2019 from 30,09% to 29,49%. However, the Bengkulu AKM also increased by 42,37% in 2015 to 42,58% in 2016.

Multidimensional poverty index which describes the percentage and intensity of multidimensional poverty. IKM in Bengkulu has decreased from 0,31 in 2012 to 0,07 in 2021 or decreased by 0,24 points. The biggest decrease occurred in 2014 to 2015, namely a decrease of 0,06 points, the smallest decrease occurred in 2015-2016 and in 2018-2019 there was no decrease at all.
