This report on the calculation of IKM Indonesia contains the calculation of the value of IKM at the national, provincial and district/city levels. The main data source we use is the BPS Susenas (National Socio-Economic Survey) from 2012-2014. Especially for 2014, we only get data until the first quarter. With the Susenas sample size of approximately 300.000 households in all provinces, we believe this reflects the real conditions.
Some of the findings in this study indicate that there are some areas where the monetary poverty rate is high, but the multidimensional poverty rate is low, and vice versa. This shows that seeing poverty only in terms of income or consumption is not enough and IKM, once again, can be used as a "supplement" to the calculation of monetary poverty. Another finding in this study shows that poverty in some areas is mostly concentrated in rural areas, which indicates the need for comprehensive development, including in rural areas.
