Multidimensional Poverty Profile of Jambi Province
In general, multidimensional poverty in Jambi Province has shown a significant decline in 2012-2021. The multidimensional poverty rate fell from 58,88% in 2012 to 16,33% in 2021. A significant decrease occurred in rural areas from 69,21% in 2012 to 20,33% in 2021.
For a decade, the multidimensional poverty rate has decreased significantly from 2014 to 2015, from 51,43% to 40,41%. This significant decrease also occurred in rural areas from 62,16% in 2014 to 48,71% in 2015. While the smallest decrease occurred in 2018-2019 from 29,84% to 28,61%, in this period urban areas actually experienced an increase in AKM from 13,77% to 14,05%.
In addition to the declining multidimensional poverty rate, there is also a decrease in the intensity of multidimensional poverty from 50,69% in 2012 to 41,93% in 2021. The largest decline occurred in rural areas, which experienced a decline from 51,68% to 42,14%.
Multidimensional poverty index which describes the percentage and intensity of multidimensional poverty. IKM in Jambi has decreased from 0,30 in 2012 to 0,07 in 2021 or decreased by 0,23 points. The biggest decrease occurred in 2014 (0,25) to 2015 (0,19), namely a decrease of 0,06 points, the lowest decrease occurred in 2013-2014, 2015-2016, and 2018-2019 with decreases respectively 0,01 points each.
