In 2023, the world faces major challenges due to increasing global geopolitical tensions triggered by the Russia-Ukraine war and the impact of climate change which disrupts economic growth, social welfare and social stability. This condition triggered a global economic crisis and a weakening of the currency exchange rate against the US dollar.
Indonesia, as Chair of ASEAN 2023, is carrying the theme "ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth" to strengthen ASEAN's position as a region that is stable, peaceful and has sustainable economic growth. In this context, The PRAKARSA play an active role in advocating civil society issues such as social security for migrant workers and inclusive business. At the national level, The PRAKARSA also involved in the preparation of RPJP 2025-2045, RPJMN 2025-2029, and achieving SDGs at the local level.
In addition, this annual report highlights national political dynamics ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election, as well as donor funding trends towards green economy issues and consultancy-based research. The PRAKARSA remains committed to transparency and good governance.
