This is because cigarettes have a direct negative influence on the achievement of SDGs such as inhibiting poverty alleviation, increasing inequality, causing economic losses, contributing to environmental degradation, and posing a significant threat to sustainable development.

As part of the Indonesian Tobacco Control Network, Perkumpulan Prakarsa, a think tank, is committed to supporting efforts to achieve the SDGs through tobacco control by providing facts from research results to strengthen the network's advocacy efforts.
