Inclusive Business Models and the Role of Regional Development Actors in Its Application

The "Inclusive Business Model and Role of Regional Development Actors in Its Application" training was opened by the Executive Director of the Association Prakarsa, Ah Maftuchan on Monday, 24 June 2019 at Aston Inn, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara.

Inclusive Business Model is a business model that creates value and deals specifically with development programs that can affect systemic problems in the market. In the inclusive market handbook developed by UNDP, the inclusive business model is described as a model that is believed to be a driver of systemic change through innovation, information, and incentives by involving poor people in the company's supply chain as employees, producers and business owners. or developing affordable goods and services needed by the poor.

The training, which is carried out with the support of Oxfam Indonesia, will last for two days and aims to share knowledge about inclusive business models and examples of their application in Indonesia. In addition to the presentation of the initial findings of the Association's research Prakarsa regarding the application of inclusive business models to women's business groups, in this training Association Prakarsa also invited supply chain experts; Dr. Heti Mulyati, S.TP, MT from the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), University representative; Dr.H.Khirjan Nahdi, M.Hum, associate professor at Hamzanwadi University, East Lombok, representative of social entrepreneurs; Mrs. Nicky from Tenoon and Mr. Andriawan Abdi from Corner Lombok, representatives of the Cooperative; Mr. Muhnan, director of the Indonesian Migrant Worker Advocacy Cooperative (ADBMI) as well as representatives from Community Organizations; Mr. L. Yazid Sururi from the Partner Resource Development Institute (LPSDM).

The training was attended by development actors in East Lombok and Central Lombok districts, Community Organizations, Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDES), Social Entrepreneurs and University representatives. In the future, the training is expected to provide an in-depth understanding of inclusive business models and encourage efforts to formulate programs and policies that favor women's business groups.
