Jakarta, The PRAKARSA - The research and policy advocacy institute PRAKARSA hold a discussion with TRENDS Research and Advisory in Jakarta, on Tuesday (24/09/2024).
The meeting was attended by Mohammed Al Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, along with a delegation from TRENDS. Meanwhile, The PRAKARSA represented directly by Executive Director Ah Maftuchan, Deputy Director Victoria Fanggidae, Research and Knowledge Manager Eka Afrina Djamhari, HR and Administration Ulfiyanti Buchori, and the Board of Directors of The PRAKARSA Binny Buchori.
TRENDS plans to expand its network and explore potential collaborations with professionals and organizations in Jakarta, given the growing economic and strategic importance of the Asian region.
In the meeting, Mohammed Al Ali stated that the strong relationship between Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is very positive, and he hopes to build closer cooperation. "In 2019, TRENDS has compiled roadmap to make TRENDS the center think tanks Global. We will also open an official representative branch office in Jakarta, with the hope of establishing relations with institutions think tanks in Indonesia, including The PRAKARSA, "He said.
Ah Maftuchan, Executive Director of The PRAKARSA welcomed the proposed cooperation plan. “This is in line with The PRAKARSA who is currently building an alliance think tanks in Southeast Asia and does not rule out the possibility of expanding its reach to the UAE," he said.
Strengthening collaboration between institutions think tanks is an important step that must be taken. This is essential to support the formulation of more inclusive, sustainable and evidence-based policies.
