
Jakarta, The PRAKARSA - The PRAKARSA officially announced the change of leadership. Victoria Fanggidae, was officially appointed as Executive Director for the period 2025-2030, replacing Ah Maftuchan who has completed a full decade of leadership, namely from 2015 to 2025. This transition is effective from November 1, 2025, which was marked by an official handover of office held on Friday (31/10/2025), at the Office of The PRAKARSA, Jakarta.
Ah Maftuchan will continue to contribute to The PRAKARSA with a new role as senior researcher, ensuring intellectual and experiential continuity in the work of the institution.
Victoria is not a new name in The PRAKARSA. Since the end of 2021, he has served as Deputy Director of The PRAKARSA. In this position, he is responsible for supporting the Executive Director in strategic matters.
Victoria earned her doctorate from the University of Melbourne in Social Policy, Sociology, and Social Theory, under the Faculty of Arts, with a dissertation focusing on Indonesian workers and social security issues. She also completed her master's degree from the same university in Development Studies, with a thesis on international institutional development assistance in disadvantaged regions.
Prior to assuming the position of Deputy Director, Victoria also served as Program and Research Manager at The PRAKARSAVictoria's research interests include socioeconomic issues, particularly those related to social security policy, employment, public health, and poverty alleviation. She is also involved in various research and advocacy activities on fiscal and sustainability issues closely related to social justice and well-being.



This leadership transition was greeted with optimism by both parties, who emphasized the importance of continuity and adaptation to future challenges. "Ten years leading The PRAKARSA It's an honor. Victoria further explained that The PRAKARSA faces a number of challenges that will be a primary focus in the development of the 2026-2030 Strategic Plan. These challenges cover areas such as Human Resource Management (HR), Fundraising, Advocacy strategies, and maintaining a consistent institutional position and visibility amidst the ever-changing policy landscape and evolving partners.
