Civil society groups will hold a Civil 20 (C20) Summit in Bali. The event will last for 3 days on 5-7 October 2022.
A total of 500 participants representing C20 members and civil society organizations from around the world will participate in this event. The C20 Summit is the culmination of a series of C20 activities to respond to the G20 meeting under the Indonesian presidency.
This meeting will begin with a parallel event in the form of webinars and public discussions that will discuss strategic issues from 7 working groups C20, namely (1) Vaccine Access and Global Health; (2) Environment, Climate Justice and Energy Transition; (3) SDGs and Humanitarian Issues; (4) Education, Digitization and Citizenship Space; (5) Gender Equality and Disabilities; (6) Sustainable Taxation & Finance; (7) Anti-Corruption.
The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Airlangga Hartarto is scheduled to open the event directly with the Governor of Bali I Wayan Koster.
Most importantly, in this meeting, the C20 delegation is planning to have a dialogue and deliver directly Policy Pack and Communicated C20 to President Joko Widodo.
Then the C20 Summit delegation will also hear direct responses from the ranks of the Government of Indonesia and the G20 Leaders on Policy Pack and Communicated The C20s that have been submitted include the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Expert Staff to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Yudo Dwinanda Priaadi, Special Staff to the Minister of Finance Yustinus Prastowo, Director General of Pollution and Environmental Damage Control (PPKL) Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) Sigit Reliantoro, and the Indian Ambassador to Indonesia Shri Manoj Kumar Bharti.
After that, the event will be closed with a festival and exhibition of works as well as C20 Solidarity Action in the form of speeches and campaigns from each representative of the organization present.
