For most people, tax is perceived as a complicated topic that should be left to the 'experts' alone. It shouldn't be like that though. Tax is an 'easy' issue to learn and very important in the life of the state. It would be a shame if civil society organizations missed it in their advocacy activities.
In order to encourage the strengthening of advocacy and studies on taxation among Indonesian civil society organizations, it is necessary to carry out consolidation and a common agenda. On this basis, the Association Prakarsa initiated a workshop on forming a tax advocacy forum in Indonesia. It is hoped that this initiative will be welcomed by civil society organizations in Indonesia as a common space in advocacy and tax studies.
