PB 26 – The Impact of Covid19 on Women MSMEs

The negative impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on MSMEs, especially female MSMEs, include: cessation of business, layoffs of employees and reduction of working hours for employees.

Women's MSMEs have not received adequate assistance from the government, the private sector or from civil society organizations. Even formal financial institutions are still minimal in providing access to capital for women's MSME groups.

The use of technology can maintain business continuity in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and minimize turnover losses, but technological literacy is only controlled by a small number of female MSMEs.
