Phnom Penh, The PRAKARSA - The PRAKARSA policy research and advocacy institute, on 17 – 20 October 2023, took part in "the Bridging Systems: A FAIR for ALL Asia Event" which was attended directly by the Executive Director of The PRAKARSA, Ah Maftuchan, in Pnom Penh, Cambodia.
This activity was organized by Oxfam Asia to create opportunities for learning and reflection between Fair for All partners and help increase regional collaboration. Besides PRAKARSA, this activity was also attended by representatives of each Fair for All partner institution in various countries in Asia.
In this activity, Ah Maftuchan had the opportunity to be a panelist in a panel discussion with the theme "What is Civic space? + trends in the region”. Other panelists who also attended this session were Cho Thet, Deputy Head of Oxfam's Program in Myanmar and Theary Luy, Program Chair of the Cambodia Cooperation Committee (CCC).
On this occasion, Ah Maftuchan spoke about the challenges related to civil space that CSOs have recently faced and how organizations have adapted their ways of working to face these challenges.
